Addisyn

Just when we thought things were going great the doctors tell us today that Addisyn's platelets are low and this may be a sign on NEC. I've since come home and read as much as I can about it. From what I can get NEC is pretty serious, but the doctors don't seem too worried about it. They are doing tests to confirm and have her on major antibiotics.

I'm so scare!

Grow Miracles Grow!

I'm getting absolutely terrible at blogging! I just went back to work a couple weeks ago and trying to balance that plus still seeing the girls and spending time with Gabe has been a bit of a challenge.

Things have been going really good lately! (I never thought I'd actually be able to say that!) The girls are on day 89 of the NICU. 89 days?! Tomorrow they will be 3 months old.

Savannah is doing great! Monday she weighed in at 3 pounds 2 ounces and yesterday she's at 3 pounds 5 ounces! She is doing great on the CPAP.

Addisyn is doing great too! I got to hold her last Sunday! Does the amazement of holding them ever wear off? They tried to take her off the vent last Monday and she crashed on the CPAP and was put back on the vent. That was a pretty horrible day for me! They are going to try and put her on the CPAP again sometime next week. She weighed 2 pounds 11 ounces and yesterday she hit 3 pounds! YAY!!

I'll try and get back to blogging regularly! Thanks for your thoughts and prayers for our family!

It's Been A While!

Hello everyone! Wow it's been a while since I updated this thing! Where do I start? oh let's start with the best! I GOT TO HOLD SAVANNAH!!! I got to hold Savannah! I got to hold Savannah! Okay, it's out of my system. It was absolutely amazing! I got to hold her for twenty minutes it was definitely the best 20 minutes in a very long time! I cried the whole time and cherished every second. She's also now off the ventilator and onto the cpap! The doctors also weighed both girls today and Savannah weighs 2 pounds 12 ounces!

Addisyn is doing great too! Her apnea and bradycardia is doing great and she hasn't had an episode in awhile! I could get to hold her by Friday but the doctor said it may be a couple more weeks before she can come off the vent. She now weighs 2 pounds 8 ounces!

We're so blessed!
